Making seed and nut-based milks at home is easier than you think. Skip questionable preservatives and boxed milk additives with this tasty, nutrient-dense hemp milk. This mix is delicious in lattes, poured over granola, mixed into oatmeal and in cooking. Choosing the best-tasting organic ingredients makes all the difference. Blend and enjoy.


  • 6 tablespoons organic hemp seeds
  • 3 organic Medjool dates, pits removed
  • 24–32 oz. Taste Nirvana coconut water
  • 1 teaspoon organic flax seeds
  • 1 teaspoon organic vanilla extract or real vanilla bean paste
  • 1 pinch Celtic sea salt

Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend on high for 1–2 minutes, until desired consistency is reached. If you prefer a silkier texture, you can use a nut milk bag to strain the mixture after blending. When opting to strain the milk, blend all ingredients without the flax seeds, then return them to the blender after straining. Add flax seeds, and blend for another 30 seconds to a minute for the perfect texture. Enjoy immediately. Remaining servings can be stored in a glass jar in the refrigerator for several days. Sub sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, almonds, cashews or Brazil nuts for alternative flavors and nutrient profiles. Flax seeds may be omitted when substituting seeds and nuts other than hemp.
