Alan Henderson and Jennifer Tatham met while working together at a design firm and art gallery. The pair first set out to become independent stationery designers as "night owls," moonlighting by creating invitations for friends. In 2004, the duo went out on a limb to start their stationery company, which is devoted to creating unique letterpress and wood cards along with totes, journals and other eco-friendly products. Alan and Jennifer design and illustrate all of their products, pressing their own line of greeting cards and making sure that all of their stationery comes from sustainably harvested wood. The duo finds inspiration from the versatile works of Bjorn Wiinblad, Alexander Girard, Swedish and American folk artists, and also in the style of British haberdashers and all the little critters and colors of Mother Nature. With a passion for fine craftsmanship and detail, the pair has quickly gained recognition for their one-of-a-kind approach to color, texture and pattern. You can find Night Owl Paper Goods products in over 700 stationery stores worldwide, as well as in Borders bookstores.
