Lucky Bee Press
Two busy bees with graphic design backgrounds met at a small design studio early in their careers. Tired of working for others and ready to try something new, the two worker bees flew off to build a new hive. Laurie Okamura and Amy Stocklein became business partners at a small Bay Area graphic design studio in 1995.They named their business "The Hive Design Studio" because they liked how the busy and efficient bee metaphor fit with their work styles. Thirteen years later, in search of new creative avenues, Lucky Bee Press was born. Loving all things print and paper, the founders created a new business that was a perfect mesh of graphic design and print. The two designers live in two different cities that are far apart by distance, but they meet in the middle with their craft. Lucky Bee Press now offers a line of fun and whimsical retro-inspired cards and paper goods to happy customers across the globe.
