Jill Smith
Jill Smith Design began with Jill's own desire for the simple things in life: to never sit in traffic for a daily commute, to be happy and inspired by work and to create beautiful things while wearing pajamas. Limited to only thirty minutes of television per week as a child, Jill grew up with plenty of time to learn to be silly and creative. Today, her innovative style has paid off in clean, vibrant and uncomplicated designs with abundant creativity and unexpected details. She designs corporate pieces for companies like Mercedes-Benz, Southwest Airlines, New York Life Company and HEB Central Market, while her wholesale line of stationery can be found in boutiques across the country. Jill also designed Tiffani Thiessen's wedding invitations and Naomi and Jason Priestly's baby shower invitations. She says that social stationery is a way to stay connected with your friends and family, highlighting life's most wonderful events. She currently lives in Houston with her husband, Wooch, her son, Pace, and their two adorable mutts, Blue and Trip.
IN THE PRESS:Jill Smith design has been highlighted on CBS's "The Early Show" and in InStyle, Daily Candy, Modern Bride, Lucky, Redbook and at the Golden Globes and the Sundance Film Festival.
ON THE ART OF LETTER WRITING:"I adore mailing and receiving real letters. Some of my favorites are from my husband when we first started dating. I traveled overseas and sent postcards to him. He saved them, and I smile when I read them now, remembering how I painstakingly chose each word because I liked him so much. I love that we have those letters saved to always remind us."
